1. Baldur's Gate Announced for GameCube

    D&D - soon available on a cute miniature DVD-ROM!

Black Isle Studios announced today the upcoming release of Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance for the GameCube. The producers are confident that the GameCube version will do as well as the PS2 version of BG:DA, which sold over 500,000 copies worldwide.

Baldur's Gate is a third-person action/adventure title set in The Forgotten Realms - a well-known Dungeons & Dragons setting. The title also features a faithful adaptation of the third edition D&D rules set, customizable player development, dramatic spell effects and abilities, and many challenging monsters.

The storyline is based around the port town of Baldur's Gate, where darkness has fallen upon the town and a civil war brews beneath the streets. The player enters the town at the beginning of the game and will eventually stand in the way of one of the greatest threats ever experienced by the region of The Sword Coast.

Dark Alliance will be headed to the GameCube sometime this winter. For more information on this title, check out www.blackisle.com.
