    Mother 3 on GBA?
    The newest issue of Electronic Gaming Monthly is reporting in its monthly Q-Mann, a rumors column, that Nintendo is porting the cancelled Nintendo 64 game, Mother 3, (Earthbound 64 in North America) to the Gameboy Advance.

    According to the story, the game may presumably be in the works at Brownie Brown, the developer of Square's Seiken Densetsu remake. While the game won't be a direct or upgraded port of the N64 title, it will contain the same scenario. Graphics will probably be very similar to the SNES game, Earthbound.

    This report remains unconfirmed, but we've been following this story since the very beginning; you know we'll be the first to have the details if Nintendo officially announces it.

  2. Well, whether they give us a brand-new Earthbound game or just port the NES version that was never officially released here in the States (though I did track down a beta of it, and it only took 12 years!) its all good.

    It would be nice to have another, new 2D Earthbound game, with all the problems they had making a 3D Earthbound game for the N64, mebbe it's not even worth bothering doing the same, for now at least, on the Cube. As Castlevania 64 showed us, some franchises are just best left solely in their two-dimensional roots...
