the ys pc games are supposed to be comin' out here in......the near future i guess.
I am not even sure how many different games there are in these two series, but they are my latest collecting craze. I remember Ys on the TurboDuo long ago, over at a friend's place. It more than anything has made me jump into PC-Engine games. As for Far East Of Eden, what really got me going on that series was the fighter installment on Neo-Geo, Kabuki Klash/Tengai Makyou Shinden.
Any other fans of these two series? Anyone know of any good databases regarding either one?

I love Ys and the soundtrack esp Dark Fact theme. As for Far East of Eden I'd love to try some of them out but I iamgine the language barrier is high.
the language barrier can't be high on the Neo Geo Fighter, or the PC-cinema fighter on. . . the PC-FX? I'd like to see that one.
Aren't Illusion of Gaia and Terranigma pseudo-sequels to that game?Originally posted by Melf

Death never looked so good.
Yes on both counts. I can't believe that Falcom hasn't made Y's VI. What the hell else are they doing? Maybe the PC remakes are their way of reintroducing the series.
As for Tengai Makyo, I think the last game in that series was the fighter on Neo Geo. A really cool series, but I couldn't direct you to any specific good sites.

Red is supposedly working on a GBA Far East of Eden and Hiroi Ouji said that they would go back and finish Namida (part III) someday. Also, I wrote a quick and dirty FAQ for the first game that can be found in gamefaqs.com's Turbo CD section.

Not sure if Strider was addressing you or not but yes, they're both sequels. I've only played Terranigma out of the three though, so I don't know how connected they are.Originally posted by Freeter

"Tick-tock"
I was referring to the fact that both Y's & TM need new installments, but yeah, they're both sequels.
