    He did it in 1999.

It took almost twenty years, but on July 3, 1999 for the first time ever, a perfect score of 3,333,360 was achieved on Pac-Man by Billy Mitchell at the Funspot Family Fun Center, Weirs Beach, New Hampshire. To achieve this, Billy had to eat every single bonus prize and every possible blue ghost in all 256 levels of the game - a feat which took him over six hours to complete. Not only that but he didn't lose a single life. It was the first ever perfect game of Pac-Man.

Guess 4 years ago is a long time, eh?

I respect the man for doing it, though, it's a useless task.

It's not talking shit if you back it up you know. Someone has to be the best, and he is, just as Fatality seems to be in his field.

Or DOA3, or SF3, or DOABV, or Unreal, or Socom, or Buffy XB and so on.

Not the best games around, but more games than you mentioned.

  3. wait, he did that four years ago... the picture looked like it was in the 80's...

The guy did cook so I give him props for that, he's a survivor and apparently the best in the world at what he does and not many people can say that about themselves. Was that lard he was cooking?
First of all, you use equipment you are comfortable with, especially because the stakes are so high. Also, he used the monitor in his hotel room. In addition, they don't supply things like monitors, its always bring your own gear. Also, he may be sponsored to use a certain company's equipment.

By the way, that isn't lard, its velveeta. And he wasn't exactly cooking, he was melting Velveeta and browning some beef. A chef he is not.

That was from the 80's, but he did it 4 years ago. He was just good at PM in the 80's.

Yeah, now if he'd added some cubes of spam in there, then he'd be a five star chef.

ok I take it all back, that guy is fucking amazing... I actually want to see what he does next now...

  9. They showed pictures of him in the 80's when he was talking about the boom in arcades when pac-man came out. And then when they showed him getting the perfect game, they say the date and place it happened.

LAN parties and tourney's are like that, everyone brings their computer. Everyone uses their keyboard/mouse/headphones, it's what they're used to.

Well I thought it wasn't too bad--Fatality was a cool dude that broke the stereotype of an overweight, etc...loser...and he is making some serious cash doing something he loves...

Now the Holy Order group was okay, but clearly they are just casual gamers, what I would have liked to see is some of the groups of real tournament players for the Capcom fighters and whatnot...but I guess they covered the tournament thing with PC...

The Pac Man guy was cool and it shows how the same mentality he used in playing Pac Man, could be adapted to a real world situation...

The Golden Tee guy didn't seem that good, I mean he was the world champion, but he got his ass handed to him all throughout the show...

Anyway, my biggest problem with the Holy Order group (besides the fact that they gave themselves a name and were playing fighters with pads and not custom sticks!) is that beyond videogames they had no drive, no amibition, and their eating habits suck! But seriously, if they used the same passion in the real world, they could be successful there as well and still play games on the side...it's okay to love videogames, but why waste your life professionally doing nothing--it doesn't have to be that way...a little more balance would do those guys good...and atleast once a week they should make an attempt to go out and hang out to meet girls, etc...sometimes you got to unplug...
