Yeah but if I understand correctly the Japanese version wouldn't get an R rating either. It's more about the atmosphere then gore. Hell signs was PG-13 and that had some of the best atmosphere in a horror movie in recent times.Originally posted by Korian

I agree, that its not necessary have to be R to be scary. As Bbobb noted, original Ring, didnt have any gore either, and relied on different types of scares, and so does remake, according to the review.
I'm definately interested in both.
Also, check out my review of Wasabi, another film soon to be released in US theaters, and also produced by Luc Besson.
I've heard nothing but good things about both of these movies, looking forward to seeing them.
