Thread: Let's talk about: Gungrave

  1. My best Beat was about 400. I still have yet to really come close to that elusive 500...

I'm renting Gungrave right now (from Rogers Video if you guys have those in your area and are looking for a place to rent it).

It's shallow as hell even by beat 'em up standards but it's still a great quick-fix action game. The awesome art alone makes the game worthy. I wouldn't pay full price for it and it's nowhere near the quality of Red's godly 16-bit games but I still recommend it and will pick it up eventually.

  3. Unless you hate that type of art.

    <--*Hates that type of art*

  4. I agree with you guys in that it should have had the $39.99 price tag that other games have had or lower but then again, people have to get paid and I'd like to see this do well(although I see it being rare and selling badly in a few months). It's short but it still has a good amount of replay to boot like the action figures, scene selection theater, extra moves on replay, score/beat counts combos.

It feels like a shooter on legs or something but it's a fun fun game.

It's like a modern version of Devastators. If it had an aiming cursor you move all around the screen and kept moving you forward, it would feel like Sin & Punishment or the G.I. Joe arcade game.
