Thread: Treasure Fans

Then again I loved Mischief Makers, and most here seem to not like it or think it's merely decent, so take that as you will.
I like Mischief Makers hella more than I like Stretch Panic.

  2. Can somebody link me to where it is selling for $10?

    Thanks.

Not entirely. I know alot of N64 owners who don't even know who Treasure is who all love that game. For some reason it went over worse with the hardcore fans than the casual audience. Probably because it was so slow paced. For what it's worth I think it's the best 2D platform game released after the 16 bit era (save for Wario Land 3 and maybe Megaman X4).

Dunno about $10. but I know EBgames has it for $13 new, at my local EB and online...

  5. I've been meaning to pick it up..does anyone have a copy with the EARLY art work? (it is blue backround) I've been looking to get that copy just because I am obssesive and needs these things.

  6. I'm with Frog all the way. Mischief Makers is a great platformer and has some of the best Treasure bosses out of the company's whole library. The levels may be short but they are so amazingly varied, in one you're shooting enemies frantically with an automatic gun, the next you're trying to surf on missiles, the next you're racing on a tricycle, and so on. The shake move was integrated and used very well throughout the game. In fact, MM is the game that introduced me to Treasure. Later that year when I heard about Radiant Silvergun and that Treasure was behind it, I instantly thought "If they can make such a unique platformer like Mischief Makers I can't wait to see what their shooter is like!" It's pretty sad that Yoshi's Story turned out to be total garbage compared to both Yoshi's Island AND MM. I expected YS to be the platformer of 1998 and that it would own MM, talk about a disappointment.

  7. I like Stretch Panic a lot.

My only commplaint with it is that it was far too easy. Few of the boss fights offered any real challenge.

Sitll I love it for what it is, a unique, entertaining, and really strange game.

So do I. MM was great, I love that game. Love it, love it, love it!.

Reminds me, I still need to get all the Yellow Gems with a different set of personal info to see if the different endings are true or not...

  9. Yeah, I don't quite understand the Mischief Maker hate myself. I started playing it waiting for my Ikaruga to arrive, and discovered it was a totally awesome game. I'm with Frog on it being the best platformer to come out within the last 5 or so years.

I'm only on the 3rd level right now, but wow... there's just so many stages per level that the surprises keep coming. I wouldn't mind it if it never ends.

You people are crazy! I loved Stretch Panic.

It was well worth the $50 I played for it.
