Since someone brought up the auctions for the $90 Ikaruga...

I e-mailed the seller and told him/her if she/he knew that the game could still be preorder for $60 from the same place as the supposed "distributor". Then the seller replied and went on a dumb long rant about backup copies. I don't have the saved e-mail anymore, but I'm pretty sure people are just getting a backup copy from that auction.

What could of happened? Check those 2 links again. I remembered seeing a bid on those 2 links. Now the # of bids is 0.

On a small note, www.gamefront.de says Sega has opened Ikaruga prebooks on D-Direct. Hmmm I wonder if there's any cool bonuses for buying by D-Direct? Doubtful.


This story scared the hell out of me too since I don't know German. The headline was: DREAMCAST Sega Ikaruga termin

I figured it was a story saying Sega denied Treasure the right to develope Ikaruga DC :P *-neo

fuck.. that would be a nightmare..

sega's not stopping other developers from releasing upcoming dating sims and whatnot, and then of course there are the KOF games coming in august and december, so it's very unlikely that sega would try to stop treasure from releasing something that has a big selling potential.. (aside from all the thousands of preorders)..

ESP's doing the publishing, not sega, so there's no real reason sega would be a prick in this situation..
then again, i'll admit to a lot of relief when the game's finally in my hands on september 5th.. or 8th or however long it'll take to ship here..

Oh, and I hope this doesn't mean they want to make id D-Direct only or anything. That always leads to delays and price hikes and shit for importers. NCSX still hasn't gotten in Space Channel 5 part 2 for DC because fo that shit.
