Almost eight months is a long time, if you're playing for score you miss out on some great times coming to a dead score board.
If you don't care about that then there is no need to spend the extra cash for the import.

this has been discussed to death..

many of us bought it because we simply couldn't wait, and there was no reason to.. the game was well worth the price for us.. and we wanted to show treasure and ESP that releasing it on the DC wasn't a mistake.

understand this:
the original rumored release date was ~may '02, and that was painful to wait for.. waiting until september for this game was nearly unbearable.. waiting till april '03 for the GC version with a couple of extra little features would have sounded retarded at the time, especially considering the GC's d-pad..
but now that the GC release date is just about here, there's no suprise that you're just a little more confident with bragging about the patience you've had..
a long-ass time ago, when we were enjoying this game in TATE VGA, we would have laughed at you if you told us this..
at this point in time though, it's a bit more sad.

i'll buy the GC version also, but like others have said, you've missed out on quite a bit by waiting this long..
either that or you just didn't care enough about it.. which is none of my business anyway.. only your loss.

I didn't even have a cube at the time, and I was so shocked that the game actually made it home I wasn't taking a gamble on a release that handn't been announced (I don't care what you say John, the US release was speculation based on the fact that it was Infogrames, a western company, and was never actually announced for moneths)

but the way he said it was that anyone who wanted the game or was interested in it allready had it

well i want the game but im waiting

it makes sense for me to wait and im patient

so to say what he did about it being pointless to do something now with the game since everyone who wanted it had it for ages was quite silly

im sure im not the only one who is interested in the game who decided to wait

Why would I care about waiting/not waiting? At the time I got Ikaruga it was Dreamcast only. I'm glad I got it and I'll happily get the Gamecube version too. So I'll have two versions of the game, whoop-de-shit.

I'd get DoDonPachiOJ on import if I had a reliable way to mod my PS2. Psyvariar while I'm at it with a side of whatever the hell else I'm in the mood for. Finances permitting, of course, but finances at the time of Ikaruga's US release permitted it quite nicely. I could afford it, I got it, life is good.
