Quake 3 Arena

Can I still play quake 3 arena??? I bought this a looooooong time ago and played one time for about 10 minutes. I thought it sucked so i didnt play it again. Well me and my friends were bored and we needed a good multiplayer game and I saw this so I popped it in. After this initial "this sucks" we found out this game is actually pretty cool!

I was playing single player earlier today and then I decided I wanted to go play online! Well it sais it couldnt find any servers, so did Sega take the servers down? And if so is there anywhere I can find other servers where you put them in manually??

Sega? You mean the Dreamcast version then.

Well, since no one but the Sega fans bought the Dreamcast, you may remember that it was discontinued. Once Sega announced they were shutting down the PSO servers, I imagine that there wasn't much incentive for whomever published Q3 on the DC to keep the servers up. So, no, they're probably gone now...

The DC Q3A servers had activity (mostly PC players) all the way up untill the server shut down announcement. You missed some great times.

I haven't checked the servers in a long time, but I'd imagine they were shut down by now.

Bah, just get it for the PC. If your worried your system can't run it, a simple solution: /r_picmip 9 Then turn off all the effects in the options menu.Viola, Q3 Atari style.

Well I recently got my cable internet takent away (for bad grades) and I already had it for dc, soooo i wanted to play it online with dc
