It's been obvious for a while that the 2000s Republican party platform and system was doomed, it's funny that Trump is the one that pulled the trigger.

The way I see it, the republican party now has to give up one of their hate campaigns to survive

Will they stop dog whistling to racist so they can pick up religious Mexican and black voters?

Or will they stop pretending to be religious conservatives so they can pick the financial conservatives and gays up?

I hope it's the later.

Take away most of their religious bullshit and you're left with a lot of stuff most people can relate to. In a perfect world everyone would really need to decide between the two final candidates. It should be two people that have different ideas but both make a strong argument for how they'd be best for the job, or how what they propose is what's best for the economy or something like that.

Instead it comes down to which candidate has what stance on abortion. It's fucking boring.
