In the five years I haven't had cable, channels like The Discovery Channel have become a joke.

I blame Survivor and American Idol.

There are some good comedies and dramas that have come out since, but I can wait for the DVD. Until then I'll re-watch Northern Exposure.

If there were a reliable way for me to stream sports live that didn't look like ass I wouldn't pay for tv.

Honestly, that's the only thing I miss from pay TV. I'd love to watch the first two rounds of the British Open tomorrow and friday for example, but I can't because I don't have stupid ESPN.
