For me Mercenaries 2. The game is fun mind you, but how often is a sequel buggier than the original, looks worse a generation later and with a bigger budget.

edit: X-COM Apocalypse has to be up there. I think it was only my absolute devotion to the first game that got me through it. By the time the other abortions in the series came out I just didn't care.It was a disappointment after 2, sure, but it still played very well. And it was one of the first NEXT GEN OMFG games for the 360.
