society will have to have a strong base of farms and other
resource gathering sites. But what then? Want to
branch into more lucrative goods like cigars and cans of dried
coffee? Then you'll need factory workers. Want
soldiers? What about bureaucrats to run governmental
agencies? You could import all of them, but that gets
expensive. If you want them home-grown, you'll need a
high school for education. Of course, the high school
will also make the educated class happier. |
