The Next Level Feature Feature: Tokyo Game Show 2003 Report

EA Games was mainly pushing Medal of Honor: Rising Sun. They had a pretty green booth.

But so did Koei, only their booth wasn't as big.

Namco likes racing...

...floating rocks...

...and hitting things with other things. You never have to play alone at Tokyo Game Show.

But you must first make it past their fierce guardians if you wish to sample their games.

Bandai was mainly pushing its license-based products...

But not exclusively.

From Software had ninjas and robots. Also another light-absorbing sign.

NCSoft was there to promote Lineage II.

Overall, TGS seemed a little more hectic this year, with more attendees and more displays. There appeared to be a dearth of RPGs, whereas the hack'n'slash genre appears to have undergone some sort of revival, with nearly every exhibitor having one to display.

Parting can be such sweet sorrow, but at least the lighting's good.
