Okay, so I've already blown through the game on the easiest level of difficulty on the GBA. I still want it. I want it bad. And I want people to play in it. And I want that line to stretch around the block so my spanking sessions can go on for days, no, WEEKS at a time! *Insert evil laughter here*

By now, I am sure we all know how to play Tetris, right? Where the primary objective is to keep the tiles from reaching the top of the screen, etc. etc. Well, the rules are somewhat in reverse. In Egg Mania, you want the playing field to be filled up, in order to reach the top of the board. Reaching the top before your opponent (Human or Computer) allows you to win the round and proceed forward. Sounds simple. So, why not just build a simple tower to the top?

Because it'll fall. And you'll be back to the last stable level which is the level before the first one with a gap. That can get really bad if you've got a small gap hiding down at the bottom of your structure. So how do you take care of those gaps? Well, as you get pieces in sizes from one to five blocks (the plus block sucks) you can put these anywhere they'll fit into your tower. Also to be found are the cement pouring blocks which are lifesavers in filling empty space and bombs to send your opponent into a state of total chaos as chunks of his tower are knocked out.

I'm eagerly awaiting this, just like most puzzle games. What can I say, they're my weakness. Regardless, it's fun, and the only gripe we had at E3 was that the GBA's weren't linked up. So in closing I leave you with this short list of things for me to do. :-)

Features:

  • Single-player mode, in which players are pit against a computer-controlled opponent

  • Multiplayer capabilities where players can compete against a friend via a GBA link cable

  • Addictive, frenetic-style arcade gameplay

  • Advanced stages including giant beanstalks, prehistoric lands and massive medieval castles that are unlocked during gameplay
