Since his debut, Spyro has established a niche and has been quite successful on the PlayStation platform. Continuing in hish plight to quell evil, Spyro makes his debut on the Game Boy Advance in Spyro: Season of Ice, offering sizzling graphics, innovative gameplay and plenty of entertaining value.

In his newest adventure, Spryo's vacation at Dragon Shores is cut short when he receives a message of an evil wizard named Rhynoc who has captured Zoe and frozen all the fairies throughout the Fairy Realms (I am sure after being in captivity for so long, they'll need a vacation too.) Using her last ounce of magic, Zoe sends a magic balloon to Spyro for help. Spyro of course, being the heroic character teams up with his friends, Hunter and Sparx to save his friends from the wicked wizard.

Season of Ice is very similar to the worlds featured in previous Spryo titles, which will certainly appeal to fans of the Spryo series. Complete with classic effects and Spryo's trademark abilities, players will engage 30 new enchanted levels including Lava Prairie, Hummingbird Village, Honey Marsh, and many more.

Taking a test-run of the game at E3, I was very pleased with the game as it boasts a rich 3D graphic engine, full of color and personality. It's definitely a title which younger audiences (or anyone who basically is a child at heart) can easily jump into. Controls are very basic as you navigate Spyro throughout each level and taking out the various baddies that litter the area. Season of Ice is a game I personally believe I'll even have to look into picking up myself (everyone should know by now that I totally enjoy adventure games of this type).

Look for Spyro: Season of Ice to hit retail November 2001, and of course, we'll have a full hands-on review to follow.
