Graphically this game is done very well. Set in 19th century London, everything looks and feels realistic. The fog and the darkness set the perfect tone. And as far as characters go, they look and move well with little polygon breakup. Even the severed body parts look right. It's enough to make any horror game fan drool.

The sound is really nice as well. Everything sounds crisp and well done with full realism. The music nicely follows the mood as well. Between each level is a horrifying voice telling you what is to come next in your mission.

Now the controls are a sticky area. They work well and are good in the 3d arena, but they are a little tricky to get used to. At times they seem to slow the game when you have to turn a lot, but this is easily made up for in the wave after wave of enemies set on killing you. Once you get used to the controls and the constant action, you should have no problem with the game.

One area I had trouble with the game is that it has a very high difficulty setting. You'll find yourself wishing for that next save point or digging everywhere for the hidden medicine boxes or extra weapons. Be assured that you'll be using those continues. But remember that there is a limit.

This game has some nice bonuses like many hidden areas, weapons and extras. You can have anything from your hands to bombs, blades that slash through enemies, torches, guns, and much more. No weaponry is out of the era or unrealistically placed.

Overall, I think this game is a must buy for any 3D adventure horror game fan. I give it two severed thumbs up. Add this one to your collection and be prepared to have fun and see a lot of blood.
